Before we dive into all the facets of Audacity, allow me to give you a quick 1 minute walk-through of how this DAW is laid out.

The areas of an Audacity Project Layout are:

• MENU bar
• TOOLBAR area
• TIMELINE
• PROJECT WORK AREA
• SCROLL BAR
• STATUS BAR

In the next video we will dive deeper the Toolbar items, such as the mixer, device, transport, and selection toolbars. And the Tools toolbar too – which sounds really redundant, but go check out the next video anyway.
